Yosegi Puzzle Box, 10 Moves

I recently took a trip home to Japan and brought back souvenirs to share with the QTTE customers! I got to visit beautiful mountains of Hakone during my stay in Japan where yosegi-zaiku is originated from. Yosegi-zaiku is a traditional Japanese marquetry technique which was developed during Japan’s Edo period. Using different grains, colors and textures of wood, mosaic designs are made, most famously for the Japanese puzzle “himitsu bako” (secret trick box). Each box can only be opened using a particular combination of moves: sliding the various surfaces in different directions. TEN moves are required to open this particular model. Includes instructions.
