Engraving of the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly. Drawing by Thomas H. Shepherd and engraved by A. McClatchy. Originally Bullock's Museum, a showplace for its namesake's collection of natural history artifacts, the Hall went on to fame as a showplace for all manner of entertainments and eventually became world-famous as England's "Home of Mystery" and as the home base of John Nevil Maskelyne and David Devant. Mild toning, else in very good condition.
