Publisher's pictorial boards, portrait frontispiece, illustrated. Clearly an unauthorized imitation of Samri Baldwin's "The Secrets of Mahatmaland Explained." Contents include discussions of thought reading, lightning calculus, and facts on sacred history. Several poor imitations of Baldwin's publicity material are produced on the final leaves of the book, while other illustrations have been lifted from various contemporary publications. Dr. Ormonde considered himself a world-eminent psychognotist. Boards well worn with toning and soiling, large section to the cover of spine missing. Hinges and first few gatherings loose and starting, but still intact. Generally clean internally with a few ages dog-eared.
