Blue cloth hard cover with black and white pictorial stamping and gilt lettering on the spine. Scarce original dust jacket in protective sleeve. Engraved frontispiece and title vignette, illustrated, 457 pages. A somewhat later American edition of one of Professor Hoffmann's most well known works, it is difficult to find in such nice condition with a dust jacket. Dust jacket shows general wear and toning, with losses along top edge. Mild shelf wear to cloth, a few errant spots within. Very good condition.
