De Kolta Style Multiplying Billiard Balls Gimmick
$110.00
- Date: c. 1900s
- Size: 2" diameter
- Condition: fair
An early and unusual gimmick for the venerable multiplying billiard ball trick, this model reportedly designed by Buatier de Kolta. Offered here are a hinged double-shell gimmick and matching solid red billiard ball, both well worn from use. Approximately 120 years old, and in good working condition especially considering the apparatus. The shell is padded with felt to prevent unnecessary "talking." The first example of this classic gimmick we have encountered; scarce.
