A plaque of clear acrylic is displayed and placed in a frame. A length of ribbon or a shoelace is threaded through holes in both the frame and plaque. On the magician's command, the plaque magically penetrates the ribbon and is released from the frame. A clever and visual trick invented by Massey, later popularized by Tenyo.
