The magician pantomimes removing a small invisible deck of cards from his pocket, which he hands to a spectator and instructs him to do the following: remove cards from the case, place the case aside, shuffle cards, fan them, remove one, remember it and insert it face up in the fan, close the fan, return cards to case and place it in performer’s palm up left hand. While instructing the spectator in these actions, the performer’s hands are seen to be empty. The performer covers the make-believe deck with his right hand for a moment, but when he lifts his hand, he is holding a real deck. The spectator names a card he pretends to look at and turns face up in an invisible deck. The performer removes cards from the case and shows that the very card is reversed!
