A finely constructed version of the classic spring-loaded Card in Balloon that disassembles for packing and transport in its own compartmentalized wooden case. Hallmarked by the maker and with a facsimile of the inventor, Hathaway, on the apparatus. About the best-made version of the prop there is. Very good to near fine condition, with only slight wear to the wooden case. Made in Chicago in the 1940s by Sedghill Industries, which constructed a limited number of high-quality props.
